Part 1: Detecting Eating Disorders in Adult Patients

Under section 130006 of the 21st Century Cures Act, health professionals are to be trained to screen, access, intervene, and refer patients to specialized treatments for the severe mental illness of eating disorders. This grand rounds will discuss what practitioners need to know to perform the duties described in the Cures Act. The presenters will describe current eating disorder diagnoses, screening and detection practices, and how best to make referrals in primary care.
